Andrew Haslen was born in England in 1953 and grew up on the edge of Coggeshall, Essex. A successful painter and printmaker of animal subjects, he was elected a member of the Society of Wildlife Artist in 1988 and winner of the Royal Society for Nature and Conservation 'Natural World' Art award in 1992 and 1997. Andrew set up his own in gallery 1988 with a close friend that ran successfully for 30 years. After closing the gallery, he focused mainly on painting and making clay sculptures.
