Description

Spencer Frederick Gore (1878 - 1914) aka "Freddy" was a British painter, the youngest of four children to Mr. Spencer Gore – winner of the first Lawn Tennis Championship at Wimbledon in 1877 and his wife Amy Margaret (née Smith). He painted music hall scenes, interiors and landscapes. He was also involved in the formation of the Allied Artists’ Association and was the first president of the Camden Town Group.
